A North Liberty woman has been charged with assault after reports of a fight down the block from her residence.

Officers were called to the 700 block of North Front Street the night of July 34d on reports of physical fight happening outside of a residence. The reporting party stated that two women were fighting, and that one was stomping on the other.

The victim and witnesses identified 33-year-old Kimana Miller as the suspect, and she reportedly had gone inside before officers arrived.

The victim had visible fresh scratch marks on her face, and a fresh bite mark on her arm that broke the skin and had already started to bruise.  Additionally, the victim had bloody hands.

A warrant was requested, as Miller refused to answer her door.  She was served and charged with Assault causing Bodily Injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to one year if convicted.

She has been released on her own recognizance and a no-contact order was issued between the two parties involved.
