The University of Iowa has agreed to a settlement with the senior human resources director at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
The Gazette reports the UI has reassigned Julie Rothbart and agreed to pay her until the end of the year or until she finds another job, whichever comes first.
The settlement, signed this month, would also extend medical and dental benefits, and offer coaching and outpatient services past the end of the year if Rothbart hasn’t secured a new position, until June 30th next year.
Rothbart also agreed not to sue the state, Board of Regents, the University or any of its employees, as the university stipulated that the settlement was not an admission of wrongdoing.
The Gazette also reports the University posted a want ad for a new senior HR director at the Liberal Arts and Sciences College on Monday.
