An area transient was arrested after a June incident when he allegedly assaulted his domestic partner.
Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Pepperwood Lane the morning of June 26th after a passerby heard a female that sounded to be in distress. 27-year-old Eric Guise and the woman were located in the encampment, and it was learned that the couple had been staying there for a few weeks.
Guise and the woman have allegedly been arguing for several hours, during which Guise reportedly punched the woman several times in the face, bloodying her lips. The woman also allegedly suffered a cut to her foot as she tried to run away from Guise.
A warrant was issued for Guise’s arrest; he was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to a year if convicted.
