Dispatch records indicate local law enforcement agencies took part in a water rescue on the Iowa River Sunday night.
According to a post on the Eastern Iowa Fireground Facebook page, Iowa City Police, Iowa City firefighters, a Johnson County Ambulance and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office were all called to a subject in the river near Rocky Shore Drive and River Street just after 10:00. Multiple boats were put into the water and attempts to get the subject into one of the crafts were eventually successful.
