All charges have been dismissed against an Illinois man accused of using a loaded gun to threaten two individuals in Coralville.

30-year-old Nico Johnson-Williams of Calumet City reportedly arrived uninvited at a 4th Avenue apartment last October and escorted one of the victims at gunpoint to the doorway of the residence, then pushed him through the threshold. Police say he then re-entered the apartment and pointed his gun at the other victim, demanding that they find his car keys. When the keys were retrieved and given to Johnson-Williams, he reportedly chambered a round in his firearm and told the victims to run.

The victims reported they expected Johnson-Williams to shoot and were in fear.

Johnson-Williams was arrested and charged with First Degree Burglary, two counts of Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, two counts of Going Armed with Intent, and one count of Dominion or Control of a Firearm by a Felon. If convicted on all charges, Johnson-Williams could have been sentenced to a maximum of 50 years in prison.

Online court records show Judge Kevin McKeever dismissed all of those charges on Wednesday. No reason for the dismissal is listed, although a court-ordered payment plan was established on Friday.

Johnson also pleaded guilty to a 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief charge and was fined $855 after he punched the screen of a jail kiosk while in custody in May. He is also required to submit a sample of his DNA.
