A man from the Chicago suburbs has been arrested five months after he made several attempts to use stolen credit cards at Coral Ridge Mall.

According to arrest reports, a suspect went into the University of Iowa Health Care Clinic on North Dodge Street and stole a wallet from an office not open to the public on February 1st. He and another suspect, identified as 20-year-old Antonio Tallie of Park Forest,  then reportedly used the cards at Target and Best Buy.  They tried to use one card at Target for $1271.99 but the card was declined. The other suspect tried to use three different cards at Best Buy for a total of over $2860, but they were all declined.

The two suspects were reportedly caught on video at both locations trying to use the stolen cards.

A separate burglary was allegedly executed later that day at the UIHC location on the Iowa River Landing in Coralville.  Tallie and the other suspect than attempted to use two of the victim’s cards at Target and Walmart, and reportedly were able to get one of the cards approved at Walmart.

Tallie and the other suspect were allegedly captured on surveillance video once again attempting to use the stolen cards.

Warrants were issued on June 18th; Tallie was taken into custody on Monday afternoon. He faces two counts of 2nd degree Burglary, 8 counts of Unauthorized use of a Credit Card under $1500, and three counts of Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card over $1500. If convicted on all counts, Tallie could be sentenced to up to 51 years in prison.
