Coralville Police say a suspect stole a $2,000 bicycle from an apartment building on the Iowa River Landing.
42-year-old Eric Kelley of 1st Avenue is accused of entering the nearby Banks apartments on East 7th Street at approximately 2:00 on the morning of May 16th, taking a bike that did not belong to him, and riding it out of the building. Investigators say the entire incident was captured on security video.
An arrest warrant was issued on June 14th, and Kelley is now charged with 2nd Degree Theft. If convicted, he faces a maximum of five years in prison.
