An Iowa City man has been arrested on suspicion of making false driver’s licenses.

According to the criminal complaint, US Customs and Border Protection inspected and seized three internationally-shipped parcels at the Iowa City Post Office on Highway 6 East on June 6th.  One of the parcels was addressed to 20-year-old Aden Clark of Clark Street and reportedly contained a total of six false driver’s licenses concealed within two small mirrors.  The licenses were allegedly made for three different individuals with two false licenses for each.

Another parcel reportedly contained the means for producing up to 160 fake Illinois driver’s licenses.

Investigators corroborated anonymous information previously obtained by the Iowa City Police Department; witnesses and Snapchat account files reportedly showed that Clark was making, obtaining and possessing false driver’s licenses and blank cards.

He was taken into custody and charged with six counts of Possession of a Fictitious ID, each punishable by a maximum one year jail sentence.
