An Iowa City man was arrested on a warrant stemming from a drug possession charge last month.

Police reportedly came upon 22-year-old transient Jeiden Fair near the intersection of Kirkwood and Clinton Streets just after 5pm on May 9th.  He reportedly exhibited odd behavior and could barely talk.  Fair was patted down for officer safety and was allegedly found with two glass pipe with burned residue and was taken into custody.

A post-arrest search reportedly turned up three bags containing a white crystalline substance; Fair allegedly admitted the substance was methamphetamine.

A warrant was issued the next day, and Fair was taken into custody Sunday. He faces charges of Meth possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, and faces a maximum jail sentence of 13 months if convicted.

Fair has a string of car break-ins and thefts on his record dating back to 2020.
