An Iowa City man wanted on numerous charges was taken into custody Tuesday.

57-year-old Leo Neuzil, who is listed in arrest reports living in Iowa City, North Liberty and in a transient state, was stopped the afternoon of June 1st on the 600 block of Hollywood Boulevard, as he had an active warrant for his arrest.  A K9 was deployed, and Neuzil allegedly admitted to having Meth tucked in his seat.  In addition, a baggie of marijuana was found along with pipes for smoking the drugs.

Neuzil had two previous drug convictions, in Cedar and Johnson counties.

When interviewed, he admitted to the incident and advised that he had done the same thing the night before.

Warrants were requested, and he was served Tuesday night.  Upon a search incident to arrest, officers located a bag of suspected meth in his pocket.

Neuzil faces a number of charges, including two Class D controlled substance violations, keeping vehicle for controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and intentional trespass. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to over 13 years in prison.
