Johnson County Sheriff’s Office charges inmate after reported jail assault

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is accusing an inmate of a jail assault earlier this week.
According to arrest records, 38-year-old Eric Bronson of Oakcrest Street attacked the reported victim just before 4:45 Tuesday afternoon. The other person suffered visible red marks on his face. Bronson, who is being held on a no-contact order violation and probation violations, allegedly admitted to slapping the other person.
Bronson is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.
