UI grad named District 7 court judge

A University of Iowa graduate has been named a district court judge.

On Wednesday, Gov. Kim Reynolds announced her appointment of Jeffrey McDaniel as a district judge in Judicial District 7.   The Bettendorf native currently serves as shareholder and president of Brooks Law Firm, P.C. He received his undergraduate degree and law degree from the UI.

McDaniel fills a vacancy created following the retirement of the Hon. John D. Telleen.

Judicial District 7 includes Muscatine, Cedar, Clinton, Jackson, and Scott counties.
