Lone Tree man arrested for assault on woman and child trying to defend her

A Lone Tree man was arrested Sunday evening after an alleged assault at his Sioux Avenue residence.

According to the arrest report, 42-year-old Christopher Walmsley got into an argument with the victim that escalated into a physical assault.  He allegedly used his body to push the woman around and punched her in the side of the head.

Walmsley reportedly threw an object at a juvenile in the residence who was trying to defend the victim.

Deputies took Walmsley into custody and charged him with Domestic Assault causing Injury, and Child Endangerment. He faces a jail sentence of up to three years if convicted on both counts. A no-contact order was requested by the victims.
