A North Liberty man with a history of OWIs was arrested for the same offense this week.
Officers stopped 54-year-old Rovon Heller of Salm Drive on the 2000 block of 10th street in Coralville after allegedly observing him commit multiple traffic violations. When officers came up to Heller’s vehicle, they reportedly could immediately smell the odor of ingested alcohol. He reportedly had bloodshot watery eyes and admitted to drinking.
A check of Heller’s driving record showed his status as revoked for six years beginning this past April.
Heller showed measurable impairment on field tests, and he refused a preliminary breath test and a Datamaster
