An Oxford woman was taken into custody earlier this week after an alleged drunken assault on her husband.

The incident occurred Tuesday night at around 11:15.  The criminal complaint alleges that 41-year-old Amanda Roy was intoxicated and destroyed her husband’s property in their garage.  When he confronted her about what she did, Roy reportedly shoved him. He fell over and cut his arm open on a piece of plywood.

Roy was arrested and charged with simple assault. She could be sentenced to up to 30 days in jail if convicted. A no-contact order was issued by Judge Brandon Schrock and a non-jury trial set for July 19th.
