Iowa City man arrested for theft of Iphones and cash

An Iowa City man was arrested on a warrant stemming from a residential theft that occurred last month.

According to police, 25-year-old Deleon Booker of Lucas Street was invited into the victim’s residence during the early hours of May 19th.  He allegedly had prior knowledge that the resident had money and valuables on site.

While the victim was showering, Booker reportedly entered the victim’s room and took two Iphones, one a 7 and the other a 14, plus over $2100 in cash. He then left the residence.

Booker has been charged with 2nd degree Theft, a Class D Felony punishable by a prison term of up to five years if convicted.
