A fatal overnight train vs. pedestrian accident is under investigation in Tiffin .
According to a Saturday news release from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, just after 3:30 Saturday morning deputies responded to the accident scene at the Iowa Interstate Railroad crossing on Brown Street. Life saving measures were performed on 30-year-old Cody Marmet of Tiffin, who eventually died at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
