A Davenport man was arrested after an investigation alleged he enticed a minor to send an explicit image depicting a prohibited sex act.

According to the arrest report, 23-year-old Damian McMahill had communication with a person he believed to be under 16 years of age using electronic means. During the communication, he reportedly sent an image of erect male genitalia believed to be his, stated he wanted to do sexual acts with the minor and requested naked images and videos from them.

McMahill also allegedly told the minor to delete all their messages, and persuaded them to send him an electronic image/video of a prohibited sex act.

A warrant was requested for McMahill’s arrest on May 21st; he was booked at the Johnson County Jail Wednesday. He’s been charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Disseminating Obscene Material to a Minor. If convicted on both counts, McMahill could be sentenced to up to 27 years in prison.
