A Tiffin man was arrested early Wednesday morning after an alleged altercation with his downstairs neighbor over noise.

The incident occurred just before 6am.  30-year-old Michael Green of Iris Court lives upstairs from his neighbor and the two reportedly have had an ongoing noise issue.  Green allegedly was beating on the neighbor’s door and yelling. He then reportedly went to the neighbor’s window and began beating on that with a rock.

The two exchanged words through the window, and the neighbor went to his door to see if Green would come back. Green allegedly came back inside and started down the stairs towards the neighbor, but told officers on scene that he stopped when he saw the neighbor had armed himself with a knife.

Green allegedly threatened the neighbor with bodily injury if he caught him outside.

Green was arrested and charged with 2nd degree Harassment, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail term of up to twelve months if convicted. A no-contact order was requested between the two parties involved.
