A Washington County man faces a forgery charge in North Liberty.

North Liberty Police say 31-year-old Kelvin Dawley of Washington was observed cashing a fraudulent check at Hills Bank on Forevergreen Road on the afternoon of April 20th. The check belonged to Irving Point Assisted Living in Cedar Rapids, and was made out for $2,333.66.

Dawley is charged with Forgery, a Class D felony punishable by a maximum of five years in prison.
