An Iowa City man was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly attempting to break into a nearby apartment in his complex.

According to police, 37-year-old Robert Robinson of the Town and Campus Apartments on Arthur Street was involved in a physical altercation with other residents outside their apartments.  The two other participants retreated inside of their residence when Robinson allegedly broke out the bathroom window of their apartment. A witness saw Robinson then walk around to the back of the residence and attempt to get in by removing the sliding screen door.
