The Johnson County Board of Supervisors have approved the budget for the upcoming 2025 fiscal year.

The vote taken on Thursday was unanimous.

Revenues are expected to increase by nearly 8.3 percent, while expenditures show an increase of about 14.4 percent.

The budget figure of $196.924 million is expected to result in an operating loss for fiscal year 2025 of $39.879 million.

The county’s general fund has enough money to make up the difference if necessary.
