The University of Iowa has added the former Mercy Hospital property to its HawkAlert coverage area.
Under the Clery Act, a university’s Clery geography is used to guide decision-making when it comes to communicating about confirmed or potential safety threats to the campus community. That includes HawkAlerts and less-urgent Crime Alerts, which are posted to the UI Department of Public Safety web site.
This week the UI Office of Clery Compliance updated its Clery geography to add the recently-purchased Mercy Iowa City at 500 E. Market Street…which has since been renamed “UI Health Care Medical Center Downtown”
