Iowa City Police have arrested another individual reportedly involved in one of the downtown Iowa City fights during this year’s New Years celebrations.

Officers took 20-year-old Sienna Shaw of East Road SW to the University of Iowa Hospital at around 3pm Sunday due to her level of intoxication. She allegedly hit, kicked and spit on staff members at the ER and reportedly was violently screaming, causing a disturbance to other patients.

A check of her records showed an outstanding warrant stemming from the fight on the 100 block of East College Street just before Midnight on New Year’s Eve.  Shaw reportedly willingly involved herself in a large fight with at least four other individuals, causing multiple injuries to those involved. Shaw allegedly had several opportunities to disengage herself from the altercation but repeatedly continued to fight.

Shaw was arrested Sunday and charged with Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct, both simple misdemeanors punishable by up to 30 days in jail apiece.

She also faces up to five years in prison for the Participation in a Riot charge from New Year’s.
