A Marion man was killed in a violent crash late Friday night.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office said first responders were called to East Post Road south of Hickory
Wind Lane just before 11:40pm Friday. Arriving deputies learned that the driver, 26-year-old Demontrae Poole, lost control of his vehicle and hit a power pole before going airborne and crashing into a nearby garage.
Poole died at the scene.
His passenger, identified Saturday as 25-year-old Mone Dotson was taken to a nearby hospital with life-
threatening injuries. Her condition has not been released.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
