Iowa City Police have arrested a Shelter House resident who they say urinated on another guest’s shoes and refused to leave the premises.
Officers were called to the Southgate Avenue facility just before 11:30 Tuesday night for a subject using racial slurs, violating rules, urinating on another resident’s shoes and refusing to leave. Police identified the suspect as 57-year-old Clayton Forman. Forman reportedly refused officers’ commands to leave and was placed under arrest. Police say he physically resisted being taken into custody and made threats to assault them.
Forman is charged with Trespassing and Interference With Official Acts. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 30 days in jail.
