An inmate at the Johnson County Jail is accused of assaulting two other inmates.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says at about 3:00 Friday afternoon 37-year-old Ronald Givins punched and slammed inmate Frank Bravo Jr. into a bunk in Cell Block B, causing an injury to Bravo’s forehead and face. Givins then reportedly grabbed inmate Collin White by the throat through a cell door, leaving redness on his neck.

Investigators say the first assault was witnessed by another inmate, while the second was caught on the jail’s security cameras.

Givins is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Simple Assault. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of 13 more months in jail. Givins is awaiting trial on charges that he allegedly went on a spending spree with a stolen credit card. Bravo is behind bars for domestic abuse charges, and White is accused of trying to solicit a minor for sex acts.
