A Coralville man has been arrested after he allegedly distributed an image of a naked young girl.
According to the criminal complaint, 24-year-old Angel Alvarado of Boston Way distributed an image on Discord January 17th 2021. The image appeared to be that of a girl between seven and nine years of age, sitting naked with her legs crossed and her genitals exposed. It was also allegedly discovered that Alvarado was in possession of 85 images and two videos of child sexual abuse material across several devices. He allegedly distributed 10 images and 5 gifs to a different user about six months earlier.
An arrest warrant the day after the complaint was entered on January 4th this year. Alvarado was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, punishable by a prison term of up to ten years if convicted on both charges.
