A Davenport man charged with trafficking in stolen weapons will have a hearing in April on a motion to suppress evidence.

According to the original arrest report, 28-year-old Darrius Bourrage was a passenger in a stopped vehicle on the 2800 block of North Dubuque Street in the overnight hours of October 28th.  He was reportedly found in possession of a Glock firearm that he is not allowed to possess due to his status as a felon.  The Glock was reported stolen out of Davenport a few days earlier, and the owner told police that she did not give Bourrage permission to have her firearm.

He was arraigned on Trafficking in Stolen Weapons and Possession of a Firearm as a Felon at the end of November and entered a written plea of Not Guilty on December 18th.  A case management conference was scheduled for March 11th before his attorney filed a motion to suppress earlier this week. A hearing on the request is now set for April 5th and the Case Management Conference moved to June 3rd.

If convicted on both charges, Bourrage could be sentenced to up to ten years in prison.
