An Iowa City man faces charges that he assaulted another man he believed was intentionally spraying him with a hose.
Iowa City Police say at about 10:15 Tuesday morning 40-year-old Aaron Tang of Delwood Drive was involved in an altercation with another subject at Arena Auto Body on Keokuk Street who he believed was intentionally spraying him with water from a hose. The incident reportedly escalated to the point where Tang began punching the other man and swinging the hose nozzle at him. The other man suffered abrasions and a possible broken nose. Police say Tang, the victim, and two witnesses all claimed the other party never threw any punches.
Tang is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.
