An Iowa City man was arrested last week after threatening to kill the mother of his two children.
Police say at approximately 11:45 pm on January 12th, 39-year-old Zachary Young threatened the woman multiple times, saying he was going to kill her. He then reportedly told the two children present that when they woke up, their mother would be dead.
The arrest report indicates that Young and the woman live together and are mutual parents of the two children.
A warrant was requested, and Young was booked at the Johnson County Jail on Thursday. He’s charged with 1st degree Harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a jail term of up to two years if convicted.
A no-contact order was requested by the victim.
