Three people have been charged in connection with a shots fired incident that triggered a HawkAlert on the University of Iowa campus early Christmas morning.
27-year-old Satnam Singh, 22-year-old Gupreet Singh, and 21-year-old Bhupi Singh are all charged with Reckless Use of a Firearm and Use of a Dangerous Weapon in the Commission of a Crime.
Iowa City Police say the three can be seen on video recklessly discharging firearms just before 2:15 Christmas morning outside an apartment building on the 500 block of East Burlington Street. Satnam and Gupreet Singh both live in the building, while Bhupi Singh lives on 6th Avenue in Coralville.
If convicted on both charges, the Singhs each face a maximum of 25 months in jail.
