Due to dangerous outdoor temperatures, the screening of The Road to Justice scheduled for Tuesday night had to be postponed.

The Office of Equity and Human Rights and the Iowa City Public Library (ICPL) will now host the community screening of The Road to Justice to recognize the National Day of Racial Healing on Monday, Feb. 19th. The event will occur from 6-7:30 p.m. in Meeting Room A inside the Iowa City Public Library. The screening will be followed by a facilitated discussion led by Dr. Negus Sankofa Imhotep.

The Road to Justice follows two groups on a civil rights tour through the American South as they reckon with the United States’ legacy of racial injustice. The first is a group of predominantly Black middle school students from Chicago. The second is a group of older Americans who lived through the 1960s Civil Rights era. Both groups meet with leaders of the civil rights movement.
