Iowa City Police have arrested a wanted felon who was found living at Shelter House.

57-year-old Clayton Forman was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 10:15 Friday night. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says Forman was wanted there after his probation was revoked last month relating to convictions on charges of Dominion or  Control of a Firearm By a Felon and 1st Degree Harassment.

Forman was living in Kalona when he was charged with Animal Neglect in Iowa City in June of 2019. Police say he left his dog inside a car for over an hour near Blackstone on Westbury Drive. Forman reportedly told police he leaves his dog in the car while he works at a nearby restaurant. The charge was later dismissed.
