A Marion woman was arrested last week after an alleged incident where she reportedly refused to cooperate with Iowa City police.

20-year-old Patience Quick of Bentley Drive was a passenger in a traffic stop at approximately 2:35am Friday near the intersection of South Riverside Drive and Riverside Court. The driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.  Quick reportedly was also intoxicated, with bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, unsteady balance, and excited emotions. She allegedly admitted to authorities that she was intoxicated.

Quick and another passenger were released from the scene and were instructed by police to wait at a nearby gas station. She then reportedly refused to walk with the other passenger and started screaming at him, refusing his efforts to assist her.

Quick was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, a simple misdemeanor. A non-jury trial was set for February 20th.
