University of Iowa Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault on campus.
According to the UI Department of Public Safety, school officials received a report of fondling, which is a form of sexual assault, that occurred at an east side residence hall early Friday morning. The official UI online crime log indicates the incident occurred sometime between 11:30 Thursday night and 1:00 Friday morning. It was reported to UI Police at 1:50 a.m.
The assault was reportedly perpetrated by an acquaintance. No other details have been released.
