Holiday Lights at the Lake returned on Thanksgiving night, but Wednesday night marks the first walking tour of the mile-long display.
Six nights a week patrons drive through the route of animated light displays at the West Overlook Campground, just west of the dam at Coralville Lake. But Wednesday nights have been designated as walking-only tours, where patrons only pay $5 per person, with children two and under being admitted for free.
Wednesday night’s forecast calls for warmer temperatures than we’ve seen the last few nights, with a projected low in the upper 20’s.
Hours for Holiday Lights at the Lake are Sunday through Thursday 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance through Eventbrite, or cash is accepted at the gate to avoid added fees.
All proceeds support Iowa’s only independent residential hospice home, the Bird House Hospice Home of Johnson County.
