A search warrant on an Iowa City man’s home during an ongoing drug investigation led to his arrest Friday.

On November 6th at approximately 11:30am, member of the Iowa City police executed the search warrant on 28-year-old Maurice Bullock’s Shady Glen Court residence.  Prior to the warrant, Bullock was allegedly observed in a drug transaction near his residence. When they made contact with him, Bullock reportedly had US currency and marijuana, with the other party in possession of the marijuana Bullock reportedly sold them.

A search of Bullock’s residence revealed approximately 60 grams of marijuana, a scale, packaging material commonly used in the distribution of marijuana, and a large amount of cash.

An arrest warrant was subsequently requested, and Bullock was arrested Friday afternoon. He’s been charged with two controlled substance violation, keeping premises for illegal drugs, and a tax stamp violation. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to up to 17 years in prison.
