An Iowa City man is in custody after allegedly threatening to kill a woman who refused to have sex with him.
Police say the incident occurred just before 4am on Friday at 501 Southgate. 34-year-old Rakeem Eberhart reportedly grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened to murder the woman after she refused to have intercourse with him. She reportedly captured the incident on her cellphone, leading to Eberhart’s arrest.
He faces charges of 1st degree Harassment and Going Armed with Intent. If convicted on both counts, he could be sentenced to up to 7 years in prison.
A no-contact order was requested by the victim.
