A Coralville man wanted on theft and burglary warrants from earlier this year has been arrested after his mother accused him of stealing her car.

36-year-old Aaron Neuzil of the Western Hills Mobile Home Park was called in by his mother. She notified police Thursday that he had stolen her 2008 Toyota and has had it for a few days, but was on his way home from Des Moines.  Neuzil was located and booked at the Johnson County Jail Friday afternoon and charged with Operating a Vehicle without Owner’s Consent, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Neuzil faces more serious charges from three separate incidents this summer.

On August 28th at approximately 5am, he reportedly made entry into the TCB Pool Hall on East College Street using a set of stolen keys. He allegedly looked around the business for items, but the manager was still present in the downstairs office. Neuzil was reportedly scared off by the manager’s presence and left without taking anything.

At approximately 3:15 the next morning, Neuzil used the stolen keys to enter Studio 13 through the front door and stole over $1000 in alcohol.

Then on September 2nd, he used the keys again to enter the backdoor of the Fieldhouse Bar at around 4:30am. He reportedly made his way to the office, where he’s accused of stealing nearly $3300 in cash.

A search warrant was obtained on Neuzil’s property. The stolen keys were located, as well as the stolen bottles of alcohol from Studio 13 with the unique pour spouts still on them. The cash from the alleged Fieldhouse robbery was still uniquely packaged from the bar.

Neuzil faces one count of 2nd degree Burglary, two counts of 3rd degree Burglary, one count of 2nd degree Theft and one count of 3rd degree Theft. If convicted on all charges against him, he faces up to 29 years in prison.
