Residents of a mobile home in West Chester have been displaced by a weekend fire.
According to Washington County dispatch records, multiple callers reported a fire at 311 Center Street just before 8:00 Saturday night. Firefighters from Kalona, Wellman and Washington all arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming through a window. The fire was eventually extinguished, and the Red Cross was contacted to help the displaced residents.
There were no pets or people inside the structure at the time of the fire, and there were no reported injuries. A damage estimate has not been released.
