An Iowa City man has been arrested after a search warrant located drugs at his apartment earlier this month.

Officers went to the Quarters apartment of 22-year-old Daniel Iakovlev at 10:30am October 16th  to execute the warrant.  He was home at the time of the search, and allegedly admitted that officers would find marijuana in his bedroom when they looked.  A bong with marijuana residue was also located, and police say Iakovlev kept and maintained his bedroom for the use and storage of marijuana.

An arrest warrant was secured, and Iakovlev was arrested Thursday night. He faces charges of keeping his residence for the use of marijuana. Marijuana possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  If convicted on all counts, Iakovlev could be sentenced to over three years in jail.
