A Quad Cities woman is accused of trying to steal over $800 in liquor from a Coralville grocery store.

Coralville Police say just before 5:00 Friday night 19-year-old Dozjanea Bogguess of Davenport and accomplices selected several high-end bottles of liquor from the wine and spirits section of the Crosspark Road Hy-Vee, then concealed them in bags and tried to pass all points of sale without paying. The total amount of stolen bottles was $884.56.

Police say Bogguess was also driving the getaway car despite being barred from operating a motor vehicle until October of 2026.

Bogguess is charged with 3rd Degree Theft. If convicted, she faces a maximum of two years in jail.
