A Cedar Rapids man was taken into custody early Saturday morning for an incident this spring where he allegedly had sex with an underage girl.

According to the arrest report, 19-year-old Traejan Robinson of 5th Avenue Southeast met the 12-year-old victim on a social media app. They reportedly made arrangements to meet at the victim’s location in Solon the evening of April 24th and allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse.

During an investigation, information obtained from Snapchat indicated the victim and Robinson communicated on the night of the incident. Robinson’s cellphone location also reportedly verified that he was in the area of the incident at the time. He was also allegedly identified by the victim and a witness through photos of his tattoos and person.

Robinson was booked at the Johnson County Jail at 5:11am Saturday. He’s been charged with 2nd degree Sexual Abuse, a Class B felony punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years if convicted.
