A convicted armed robber from Linn County had absconded from a Coralville halfway house.
According to the Iowa Department of Corrections, 44-year-old Ricco Fountain Thigpen failed to report back to the Hope House Residential Center on Holiday Road as required on Tuesday.
Thigpen was convicted of 1st Degree Robbery after robbing two men at gunpoint outside of a Cedar Rapids nightclub in 2018.
Thigpen is described as a black male standing 5’11” tall and weighing 197 pounds. He was admitted to the work release facility on September 15th.
