A Coralville man was taken into custody Friday night after allegedly spray painting an Iowa City bridge.

Police say 35-year-old Ken Morgan of Holiday Road was reportedly heard spray painting the bridge on the 700 block of South Dodge Street while on the railroad tracks.  Morgan was located and allegedly was found to have paint on him. He initially told officers that he was “creating art,” but later admitted he was spray-painting the bridge.

Morgan was arrested and charged with 4th degree Criminal Mischief and Intentional Trespass. If convicted on both counts, he could be sentenced to up to two years in jail.
