An Iowa City man was taken into custody earlier this week after allegedly being involved in a fight at his residence, then threatening officers who arrived to break up the skirmish.
Police say 18-year-old Daitawn Harrington of Shady Glen was observed actively engaged in the fight Thursday at approximately 5:20pm. Officers on scene told him he was under arrest, and Harrington allegedly threatened violence towards the officers. While apprehending him, Harrington resisted arrest and once again threatened them.
Harrington was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations, and Interference with Official Acts. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to up to 14 months in jail.
