Former Iowa Hawkeye receiver Arland Bruce IV pleaded guilty to underage gambling in court Friday.

The Gazette reports as part of the plea, prosecutors won’t file any related charges against another individual whose name Bruce used to place bets. He was originally charged with tampering with records. The lesser charge comes with a fine of $645.

According to the criminal complaint, Bruce made 11 wagers on six games he participated in during the 2021 season and eight wagers in five games that he appeared in during the 2022 season. He allegedly placed an “over-under” bet on Iowa’s game against Northwestern last season that he played in, and on the team’s Music City Bowl, which he did not see action.

In total, Bruce reportedly mad over 130 underage bets totaling over $4300.

Bruce currently plays for Oklahoma State after entering the transfer portal in 2022.
