Solon man accused of beating alleged victim into unconsciousness

A Solon man faces charges that he beat another subject into unconsciousness.

31-year-old Dakota Williams of East 5th Street was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 7:30 Thursday morning. Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies say just before 8:30 p.m. on September 5th Williams kicked another person in the face with his boots or hit the victim as the person was tripped or pulled down from behind and stunned or unconscious. Police say the victim suffered a broken right cheekbone, cut and swollen eyelids, a cut and swollen nose and a neck injury.

Deputies say Williams also slapped another person in the face who was trying to intervene when he allegedly pushed his spouse.

Williams is charged with Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury and Simple Assault. if convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum  of over ten years in prison.
