A Cedar Rapids man is accused of trying to arrange a meeting with two minors in Iowa City with the intent of having them perform sex acts.
Iowa City Police say 46-year-old Trent Buenzow of 18th Street NW had been in communication with two people he believed to be under the age of 16. Buenzow allegedly arranged to meet the pair at Mercer Park in order for them to perform sex acts on him. The communications reportedly included Buenzow sending the two a photo of his erect penis.
Police say Buenzow arranged to meet the two at Mercer Park Thursday morning, and officers report finding him circling the area just before 10:15am. Buenzow allegedly admitted to arranging a meeting with two underage girls with the intention of having them perform sex acts on him. A pair of condoms was reportedly found on his person.
Buenzow is charged with two counts of Enticing a Minor for Sexual Purposes. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of ten years in prison.
